Realty Income Increases Their Dividend by 2.4% in 2023

Dividend Increase Announcement

On February 18th, Realty Income announced a dividend increase of 2.4%. This will increase their dividend from $0.2485 to $0.2545. It is payable on March 15th for shareholders of record on March 1st. The new dividend represents an annualized dividend amount of $3.05 per share as compared to the current annualized dividend amount of $2.98 per share.

Dividend Increase Effect

I am currently holding 48.941 shares of Realty Income stock in the More Dividends portfolio. With this 2.4% increase it will add an additional $3.52 to my projected annual dividend income and this doesn’t even take into account the compounding factor! That brings the new grand total up to $2,435.63

As you can see my grand total has declined since I last reported. Unfortunately, Store Capital went private that gave me some fresh capital to invest but that also took a portion of my dividend income as well.

Current Stock Position

Realty Income has been a consistent earner for me. It has been in my portfolio for many years now. I have enjoyed holding the position because the dividend does get paid every month so I have really been getting to see the position compound over time.

I would love to be able to add to this position but currently the share price is higher than my cost basis. So for now, I will continue to hold this position and allow it to compound.

Regardless of how large or small, I love all dividend increases. That is how we end up with More Dividends 😉
