With this 12.5% increase it will add an additional $2.80 to my projected annual dividend income and this doesn’t even take into account the compounding factor! Current Stock Position
I have been holding my position in Archer Daniels Midland for many years now.
Early in my investing career, I would spend vast amounts of time reading. While educating myself, I stumbled upon the book “One Up On Wall Street by Peter Lynch” and I learned a lot from the book. If you remember, I published an article about it back in 2017. If you don’t remember, I encourage you to check it out.
Anyways, I actually learned about this company because I applied one of Peter Lynch’s principles that I learned in his book. I became familiar with the company because of their products use in my industry. After doing some more research, I initiated a small position in Archer Daniels Midland.
I did miss a great opporunity back then by not having more capital available because since that time the value of my position has doubled.
Unfortunately, with the current share price being more than double of my cost basis, I don’t like the idea of adding onto the position. So for now, I am going to leave this position the way that it is.
Regardless of how large or small, I love all dividend increases. That is how we end up with More Dividends 😉
