Pfizer Increases Their Dividend by 2.5% in 2022

On December 9th, Pfizer announced a dividend increase of 2.5%. This will increase their dividend from $0.40 to $0.41. It is payable on March 3rd for shareholders of record on January 27th. The new dividend represents an annualized dividend amount of $1.64 per share as compared to the current annualized dividend amount of $1.60 per share.

Dividend Increase Effect

I am currently holding 33.597 shares of Pfizer stock in the More Dividends portfolio. With this 2.5% increase it will add an additional $1.35 to my projected annual dividend income and this doesn’t even take into account the compounding factor! That brings the new grand total up to $2,407.12

Current Stock Position

I started this position in Pfizer many years ago. It has slowly been compounding into a larger position. I do remember adding to this position at some point but I’m not sure of when that was.

I would love the chance to add to this position but currently the share price is significantly higher than my cost basis. So for now I will sit by like a patient investor.

I am currently holding a couple of pharamcutival stock positions in my portfolio which includes Viatris and Johnson and Johnson. With that being said, I am not currently looking to add to any positions that I currently hold in this sector.

Regardless of how large or small, I love all dividend increases. That is how we end up with More Dividends 😉
