Current Stock Position

Realty Income has held a position in my portfolio since almost the very begining. I bought it early on but I was still very new to investing. I started listening to the talking heads about the fears surrounding the fed possibily raising interest rates for the first time in many years. Clearly, we are in a very different environment today because we have gotten use to the fed constantly raising rates.

If you are unsure, let me help you out. I am talking around 2015 or 2016. With those fears in the market I decided to sell my original position in Realty Income.

After selling my shares I sat on the sidelines for a year or more and watched the share price continue to go up.

Sometime had passed but finally the share price dropped back to what I considered to be a reasonable price so I decided to open a new position in Realty Income.

Since that time I have reinvested all of my dividends plus added to the position once or twice.

With a great company like this, I have no intentions of ever selling the stock. I will continue to be patient and to wait for buying opportunities so that I can strengthen the position.

Realty Income is definitetly the best REIT that I hold in my portfolio and don’t see that changing anytime soon!

Regardless of how large or small, I love all dividend increases. That is how we end up with More Dividends 😉

Do you currently hold any stock in Realty Income? What do you think of this dividend increase? Just let me know in the comments.

As always I look forward to reading all of your comments and questions, until then….. happy investing!
