More Dividends Update from April 2019

More Dividends - Dividends Income

April turned out to be a very busy month for me. My W2 job has asked me to take over and cover the night shift. While this is not the ideal situation, I agreed to it for now. It has me working while everyone else gets to sleep but it will allow me some new opportunities as well.

This month my portfolio has continued to drive itself. It wasn’t for my lack of trying though. I found a couple of potential purchases that I was very interested in but I just couldn’t pull the trigger on any of them yet. I am going to keep looking until I find something that works well with my portfolio.

I have started employing some other investing strategies that I will be posting about in some upcoming articles.

Until then let’s take a look at how well the portfolio performed over the last month.

Stock Additions

During the month of April there were no new stock additions.

Year over year, I saw a 79.8% increase in dividends earned during the month of April. I have made a couple of additions since last year and that is what helped fuel the YOY growth.

Conclusion

More Dividends saw a couple of dividend increases during April. That is just a reminder that I have chosen to use a great strategy. The portfolio continues to grow even when it is doing all of the work.

I seem to be struggling to find some opportunities in the market right now. I have my eyes open and have been doing the research, just haven’t found anything to pull the trigger on yet. I will keep looking because I am very excited to report on a new purchases.

As always I look forward to reading all of your comments and questions, until then….. happy investing!
