More Dividends Update from December 2021

December 2021 turned out to be a great month for me. Not only did I set a new milestone by receiving over $200 in a single month but I also took my first trip out to the west coast. I did some hiking in Joshua Tree National Park as well as Death Valley National Park. Then I also spent a little time in Las Vegas before heading back home.
It is always nice to be able to get away from the normal life and to do some travel to help clear my mind. Soon I will be publishing an article about my hobbies and things that I do in my free time.
Until then, let’s take a look at how well the Portfolio has been doing.
Dividends Received
As I mentioned above, I finally reached a milestone of clearing $200 in a single month. It has taken me awhile to reach this milestone but it is a very proud moment for me. It is just another reminder that I am using the correct strategy to invest in my future. Continually, reinvesting these dividends will help me continue to live the kind of life that I want to live.
So, let’s have a look at what companies paid me a dividend in December.
Archer Daniel Midland (ADM) – $5.05 – Reinvested
Bank of America (BAC) – $15.78 – Reinvested
Emerson Electric (EMR) – $5.99 – Reinvested
Flowers Foods (FLO) – $8.08 – Reinvested
Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) – $8.94 – Reinvested
Coca Cola (KO) – $6.81 – Reinvested
Lockheed Martin (LMT) – $11.20 – Reinvested
Metlife (MET) – $9.03 – Reinvested
3M (MMM) – $23.45 – Reinvested
Microsoft (MSFT) – $5.91- Reinvested
Realty Income (O) – $9.07 – Reinvested
Pfizer (PF) – $12.59 – Reinvested
Southern Company (SO) – $17.76 – Reinvested
Target (TGT) – $15.06 – Reinvested
Viatris (VTRS) – $5.64 – Reinvested
Wells Fargo (WFC) – $8.85 – Reinvested
Exxon Mobil (XOM) – $34.01 – Reinvested
December was the last month of Q4 and accounted for $203.22 of my 2021 Dividend Income.
In total during 2021, I earned $1,597.04 in dividend income!
So far my dividends received looks like this
Dividends Received By Year
December was really an extraordinary month for the portfolio. Not only did we record over $200 in dividend income but the portfolio also produced 21% more dividend income year over year. That is a really high number and I love seeing it.
I would love to continue being able to produce this kind of growth but I know that is not realistic over the long term.
Portfolio Allocation
The portfolio allocation has been at the mercy of the markets. The fluctuations have all been generated by the market but I will be looking into reallocating some of my capital.
Current Portfolio
Since building onto the Viatris position, I haven’t really added much into the portfolio. Since then the changes have all been because of dividend reinvestment. Gotta keep building that money machine!
