More Dividends Update from August 2021

More Dividends - Dividends Income

Hey there readers. Long time no write. My last monthly update was in March of this year. I have no excuse for that. What I do have to offer is a reason.

That reason is simply that I was spending a lot of my free time traveling. I chalked up many of miles here in the states plus I took a trip down to the Bahamas. What you guys might not know is that I am a photographer among other things so I document a lot of my travels in pictures. So now my question to you guys would be if you would have any interest in seeing pictures and hearing about some of the adventures that I go on in the future? Please leave me a comment down below or tweet me if you would be interested.

It was nice getting to travel but now I am back on the grind. My portfolio has continued to work for me this whole time so now it is time that I begin to work for my portfolio. I am currently researching some new investment ideas when it comes to dividend paying stocks. Plus I have been building more and stronger positions in the crypto space which I am sure you have noticed by my tweets on Twitter.

I hope to be rolling out a lot of new projects to you guys in the coming weeks and months. Nothing like sometime away to come up with plenty of new fresh ideas.

Until then, let’s take a look at how the More Dividends Portfolio has been doing during the month of August.

Stock Additions

The only stock additions that I can recall making since my last monthly update was when I added to my small position in Viatris. Currently, I have brought the position up to 50 shares and may be looking to add more to it in the near future. Only time will tell if I decide to add to the position now or add to it later. One strategy that I have been considering with this stock is to acquire enough shares so that I can have a whole block of 100 shares. If I do decide to do this then I would be able to start learning more in the options space. It would be interesting to learn more about this space but we will have to wait and see if I decide to go this route.

Dividends Received

Receiving dividends. This is the whole strategy, it is the building blocks of this money machine. The more dividends that I am able to generate means more money that I am able to have invested.

August is the 2nd month of the quarter so it isn’t my largest paying month but it still does pretty well for its self. There was a time when the first and second months of the quarter did not yield very much dividend income but those days are long behind us now. These months now produce almost as much as the last month of the quarter.

If you remember a few years back I published an article about When I want my dividends paid. The conclusion of that article was that I just wanted to buy the best stock opportunities at the time and that I didn’t factor in when the companies paid their dividends.

Somehow though, those off months have still continued to build up overtime!

This month I received dividends from 8 different companies.

Let’s take a look at those companies!

Apple (APPL) – $1.85 – Reinvested

General Mills (GIS) – $10.10 – Reinvested

Realty Income (O) – $8.57 – Reinvested

Omega Healthcare Investors (OHI) – $32.11 – Reinvested

Procter & Gamble (PG) – $6.60 – Reinvested

AT&T (T) – $45.90 – Reinvested

WestRock (WRK) – $3.96 – Reinvested

iShares National Muni Bond ETF (MUB) – $0.53 – Reinvested

August was the second month of Q3 and accounted for $109.62 of my 2021 Dividend Income.

In total as of August during 2021, I earned $ $979.45 in dividend income!

Dividends Received By Year

As we can see here, not a lot has changed over the past couple of years. The dividends have been compounding nicely so my dividend income has been growing because of that. I do see that since 2020 I have made an addition to my position in AT&T. That addition was made before the company announced that it would be reducing their dividend after the Warner Media spin off.

I will be reviewing these holdings in the months to come to see if I think there are any opportunities to possible build onto any of these positions.

Current Portfolio

This is about the largest that I have ever seen this portfolio which is saying a lot because I haven’t been adding a lot to it over the past couple of months but look for that to all changes moving forward. I am back working hard to make my money grow and that will also include some other strategies to try and grow the money so that I can invest even more into dividend paying stocks.

Conclusion

August of 2021 was the month that I got back to work on growing my money. This has been a fun game so far but I think that it is time to really start stepping it up a bit. Expect to see a lot of new and interesting things coming from me in the months to come. I will be exploring some new partnerships as well as some new project and investing ideas.

I am glad that I am able to take time away and do something like travel but now it is back to work.

Overall, August was a pretty good month for me. The dividend stream has continued to grow and I was able to make some new additions to the portfolio. What else can a guy ask for?

As always I look forward to reading all of your comments and questions, until then….. happy investing!
