More Dividends Update from June 2017
Welcome back readers. I hope that everyone had a great month of June. As well all know, the end of a quarter is always the best month for dividend investors and this month proved to be no different. This month set a new record high for me. Plus I added some shares to the portfolio. Several companies announced dividend increases for stocks that I am holding. I managed to get a few extra post on the blog this month as well.
So all an all it turned out to be a pretty good month. I have had a small hiccup receiving one of my dividends from the transfer of stock from Loyal3. I will detail this more when I find out some more information about it.
With all of this being said, lets go ahead and give the update for the month.
Additions
During June, I did add a little to a couple of positions.
Hormel (HRL) – 2 shares – adds $1.48 to my projected annual dividend income
Kroger (KR) – 6 shares – adds $0.75 to my projected annual dividend income
These were a couple of small additions but I was willing to do it since I was able to buy them with no trade fees.
Dividends Received
**NEW RECORD MONTH**
Bank of America (BAC) – $5.12 – Reinvested
Emerson Electric (EMR) – $4.92 – Reinvested
Flowers Foods (FLO) – $5.59 – Reinvested
Kroger (KR) – $1.20
Microsoft (MSFT) – Pending
Southern Company (SO) – $6.13 – Reinvested
Stag Industrial (STAG) – $1.28
Target (TGT) – $11.02 – Reinvested
Wells Fargo (WFC) – $3.88 – Reinvested
Wal Mart (WMT) – $5.28 – Reinvested
Exxon Mobil (XOM) – $10.60 – Reinvested
June was the last month of Q2 and accounted for $61.74 of my 2017 Dividend Income.
So far my dividends received looks like this
Dividends Received By Year
As we can see here I have had some great year over year growth. 106.14% is no laughing matter. Hopefully I can continue this kind of growth in the future.
Portfolio Allocation
My recent small additions were not large enough to really effect my portfolio allocation. So any small changes that have happened are probably more influenced by the fluctuations in the market. I am currently looking to add a position that will make an impact on my portfolio allocation but have not pulled the trigger on it yet. Look for a future post about it 😉
Current Portfolio
Here is a snapshot of what my current portfolio looks like. No major changes to really report. Just the few shares that I added plus the dividends that were reinvested. Look for more changes to this in the future 😉

Conclusion
June turned out to be a pretty interesting month for me. I set a new record high for dividends received. I was able to put out a couple of extra posts because of Dividend Increases. As always I look forward to reading all of your comments and questions, until then….. happy investing!
You beat me by just a handful of dollars in June. I, too, added to my share total in Kroger. I thought that the drop was sufficient reason to add. I just wish I’d have waited another day to catch the drop on the Amazon-Whole Foods deal. Oh well. Hopefully it won’t make much difference going forward.
