Recent Buys From DGI Bloggers From The Past Week
“You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.”
― Jim Rohn
Jim Rohn couldn’t have spoken a more accurate statement. If you are like me you spend quite a bit of time reading the blogs of other DGI Bloggers. I thought it would be interesting to chronicle the recent buys from other people in the DGI Community. If this article goes over well I may continue to post these in the future. I would love to hear what you think in the comments down below.
Kimberly-Clark Corporation (KMB)
Microsoft (MSFT)
Procter & Gamble (PG)
AT&T (T)
It seems pretty clear to me that the Consumer Goods sector seems to be pretty popular amongst the bloggers lately. Have you been adding any stocks from this sector?
I hope that you enjoyed this list of Recent Buys From DGI Bloggers From The Past Week.
As always I look forward to reading all of your comments and questions, until then….. happy investing!

A lot of our DGI peers have been dipping their toes in the staples sector. Many great names going on sale relative to their recent highs. PG, KMB, CL, PM, GIS and more are all offering some compelling reasons to buy. The staples are traditionally an expensive sector to buy because of its defensive nature and while not super cheap it’s looking a lot better these days.

I agree. With GIS being well below my cost basis I thought about adding more. I am concerned with the way management worded their announcement in one of the press releases because to me it seemed to imply that they were not planning to raise the dividend for a couple of years.
This is a neat format I have not seen before Jason. Trolling through the dividend blogs like you do, I could tell KMB was drawing a lot of interest. It had been on my buy list for several weeks and I added to my position on 4/19. Didn’t catch the recent bottom, but that’s so hard to do. Tom

It is never easy to catch a bottom. Even when I thought I had caught a bottom before it still ended up going down more. So I just try to buy good companies at a good time. KMB is a good company so that was a very nice purchase.
I bought XOM this week got the bonus bought it on a dip in the morning got the dividend raise that evening. Can’t go wrong with that.

Nice purchase Doug. That is a nice bonus. I was holding steady through the raise and plan to hold for many more years. I’m glad to know that we are fellow shareholders.
This article is awesome. It just goes to show you which sector is on fire right now…the consumer staple division. KMB was on mt last watch list and I may be joining the other investors soon enough. Also, thanks for including our PG purchases!

Your welcome Bert. Yeah, I think it gives a good representation of the sectors that are hot! I wish I would have had some free capital but that’s ok. There is always next time!
