More Dividends Update from February 2019
Back during December the market made some large dips. I knew not to panic so I decided to just ride the dips out. Since then the portfolio has not only recovered but it is positioned better now than it was in December.
I wish that I would have been able to add to some positions back in December. Unfortunately because of travels, I was not prepared to do any investing in the market. Hopefully some new opportunities will present themselves soon.
Until then let’s take a look at how the portfolio performed last month.
Stock Additions
No new stock additions!
Dividends Received
This month provided me with a new 2nd month of the quarter high record. It’s not very much but I am glad to see the growth
Apple (APPL) – $1.49 – Reinvested
General Mills (GIS) – $8.87 – Reinvested
Hormel (HRL) – $2.52
Realty Income (O) – $6.10 – Reinvested
Omega Healthcare Investors (OHI) – $26.30 – Reinvested
Procter & Gamble (PG) – $5.10
STAG Industrial (STAG) – $1.30
AT&T (T) – $24.31 – Reinvested
WestRock (WRK) – $6.88 – Reinvested
February was the second month of Q1 and accounted for $82.88 of my 2018 Dividend Income.
In total during 2019, I have earned $111.31 in dividend income!
So far my dividends received looks like this
Dividends Received By Year
Year over year, I saw a 82% increase in dividends earned during the month of February. New additions to the portfolio since last year has continued to drive this growth. It has been steadily slowing down as the portfolio value gets larger.
Portfolio Allocation
My portfolio allocation has looked like this for sometime. I am happy to just let it ride for now.
Current Portfolio
The market and reinvested dividends have driven all of the changes in the portfolio.

Conclusion
Continued growth in the portfolio looks great. With life being so crazy lately I have not been able to focus much attention on the portfolio. Look for that to change as things start to calm down in life. I am looking at some possible additions. Have you been looking at any interesting stocks lately? If so, I would love to hear about it.
As always I look forward to reading all of your comments and questions, until then….. happy investing!

Thanks PassiveCanadianIncome. I would love to be able to continue with this kind of growth but I am afraid that as the portfolio gets bigger this growth will slow down. Who knows. Only time will tell. Thanks for stopping by.
Congrats on a solid month. You added stocks in last December. When do you think the next best time to add stocks again?

The next time I have some free capital. There are always good opportunities out there, sometimes they are just better than others. So I would definitely be looking to buy more stocks the next time the overall market takes a dip. Thanks for stopping by DSFI !
Nice 82% YOY growth! Congrats on a great month! 🙂

Hey Issac. I appreciate the kind words. Thanks for stopping by.
The good thing about dividend investing is, that if life gets crazy, your portfolio will do it’s work.
I hope your craziness is for the better, stronger and healthier.
Warm regards,
Petra
Petra,
You are exactly right. My portfolio has been chugging along without me. Life is starting to stabilize a little bit so I will start being a lot more active again. Thanks for stopping by!
