More Dividends Watch List – FLO & TGT
Today I decided that I want to start a watch list here on the blog of the stocks that I am watching. Currently the whole spreadsheet has not been filled out but I am sure that it will grow and fill out with time. If you want to see the complete list just check out my Watch List.
Firstly, I have added 2 stocks that I have had my eye on and am wanting to add them to my portfolio but just haven’t pulled the trigger yet. Both Flowers Foods and Target are good companies so I am going to include a few metrics here so that I have a base for where the stocks were when I added them to my watch list.
Flowers Foods (FLO)
Flowers Foods, Inc. produces and markets packaged bakery foods in the U.S. It operates its business through two segments: Direct Store Delivery and Warehouse Delivery.
- 3.42% Dividend Yield
- $0.88 EPS
- 63.4% Payout Ratio
Target (TGT)
Target Corp. engages in owning and operating of general merchandise stores.
- 3.37% Dividend Yield
- $5.41 EPS
- 47.5% Payout Ratio
As time goes on I will be adding more to my Watch List. I will also be expanding all the metrics that I list on the page as well. Until then I hope everyone is making some great investments! If you have any comments or questions please post them below!
These two stocks are hot right now in the DGI space. I’ve been buying TGT the past few months. It’s on a slight run right now, so I’ll wait for another price drop before adding more shares. FLO is one I’m interested in as well. Instead of buying, I’m selling short-term options (puts) to try and get 100 shares at a discount. Nice list.

Yeah that is what I was thinking on both of them. I feel like they would both be great to own but I am just waiting for a pullback to buy some. Options are a bit above my skillset but I hope your plan works out for you. Thanks for visiting IH.
Yeah FLO is doing great right now, I picked up a few hundred shares to write calls against and might end up losing them!
I think there will continue to be some volatility with the stock until they get the lawsuits with the idependent contractors settled. Over the long term I think the company will do great though.
I would love to hear how your plan works out!
