More Dividends Update from October 2018
October proved to be a rather stagnant month. There wasn’t a lot of activity this month other than some reinvested dividends and market movements. The beauty of a dividend growth portfolio is that even when I do nothing, the portfolio continues to grow larger. Let’s take a look at everything that happened in October.
Stock Additions
During the month of October there were no new stock additions.
Dividends Received
This month provided me with a new 1st month of the quarter high record. It’s not very much but I am glad to see the growth
Genuine Parts (GPC) – $4.42 – Reinvested
Coca Cola (KO) – $5.69 – Reinvested
Manhattan Bridge Capital (LOAN) – $.63 – Reinvested
Altria Group (MO) – $5.67 – Reinvested
Realty Income (O) – $5.88 – Reinvested
STAG Industrial (STAG) – $1.30
October was the first month of Q4 and accounted for $23.59 of my 2018 Dividend Income.
In total during 2018, I have earned $53.66 in dividend income!
That is 53.6% of my 2018 goal.
So far my dividends received looks like this

Year over year, I saw a 236% increase in dividends earned during the month of October. My stock purchases continue to help fuel this type of growth. As my dividend income continues to grow, my stock purchases will affect the year over year growth less but until then I will continue to enjoy seeing such large growth.
Portfolio Allocation
There was a small shift in the allocation but it was all caused by the fluctuations in the market. I am looking at some possible ways to shift some of my allocations. Only time will tell if any of them surface.
Current Portfolio
With no new additions my portfolio is pretty much the same. Some reinvested dividends and market fluctuations have caused all of the changes. Hopefully I will be adding to this portfolio soon.

Conclusion
See there wasn’t much activity. The portfolio is continuing to grow and is prospering and that is all I can hope for. Hopefully I will narrow down my stock picks during November so I will have more exciting news to report next month.
