Goals for September 2016
If you read my August Update you will know that last month did not go as well as I would have wanted it to. I was able to get a lot of stuff done but I didn’t accomplish all of the goals that I would have liked to have accomplished. I am going to maintain all of the same goals that I set out for last month but I do want to add some. The goals that I plan on adding are not directly related to More Dividends but are more related to personal development.
For instance, I have recently went on a No Sugar Diet that includes not consuming sweet tea or Starbucks…. which are like the only two things that I drink. Since going on this No Sugar Diet all I have been drinking is spring water with lemon in it. This goal is there to help make a healthier me. Also some time back I had started writing in a gratitude journal… unfortunately over time I have fallen out of the habit of doing this. Moving forward I want to start back journaling daily. Also on my goal list is reading and reviewing one book per month. Over the past few months I have found myself reading a lot of magazines and have been neglecting my books. I have a lot of books that I look forward to reading and share with you all the things that I learn in them.
I am still striving towards my goal of receiving $200 in dividend income by the end of the year. I think that this is still obtainable even though I am slowly running out of time. If I am able to continue to add at least $500 a month to my portfolio I think that I will be able to reach $200 by the end of the year. As it stands right now my forward projected dividend income for a full year would be $275 so I am very excited to see how much more I can grow my portfolio before the end of the year.

I think that this is a fair amount of goals… some old and some new. I am excited to strive to complete the goals by the end of the month. I like the addition of some goals that aren’t necessarily directly related to More Dividends. These goals may not seem like much but they are the building blocks to a better me!
I look forward to hearing what you think about these goals! Please feel free to leave a comment below! Until next time happy investing!
Wow you have a lot of goals for one month, good for you. I’m interested in the seeking alpha goal, have you been on published on it before? Do you just submit articles to it? Will watch for your articles.
I try to set goals for myself so that I stay motivated to keep working hard. I have had a couple of articles published on Seeking Alpha previously. You have to sign up as a contributor, after your approved you have to submit your articles for an editor to review. Once the editor approves the articles then they will be published on the website. I want to increase the number of articles on Seeking Alpha so that I can create some extra income to invest! If you decide to publish articles on Seeking Alpha let me know because I would love to read some of your stuff.
Very well rounded goals. The goals you can control, such as posts, should drive goals like views. If you take care of the goals you can control, the others should easily fall into place. I like how they are ambitious but achievable. Best of luck and hopefully we will be able to help you knock them out!
