Current Stock Position

When I first began investing, Realty Income was one of the first stocks that I purchased. I held the stocks for about 6 months to a year and then I made the unforgivable mistake.

As I stated, I was still new at investing and all of the talking heads had begun talking about the Fed raising interest rates. I held off for a bit but after awhile I finally decided to go ahead and sell my position before the interest rates went up.

Sadly, after I sold, I watched the stock soar to new highs. I had to be very patient and wait for the price to come back down but eventually it did. So I decided to start building a new position in Realty Income.

I am a lot wiser now and would never sell because I let the talking heads scare me into it.

So, I have been picking and choosing good times to add to this position with no intentions of ever selling them. The company is fabulous and they continue to increase their dividend, which I absolutely love. The fundamentals changing of the company would be the only reason that I would want to sell the stocks and I don’t see that happening anytime soon.

Regardless of how large or small, I love all dividend increases. That is how we end up with More Dividends 😉

Do you currently hold any stock in Realty Income? What do you think of this dividend increase? Just let me know in the comments.

As always I look forward to reading all of your comments and questions, until then….. happy investing!
