Conclusion
Emerson Electric is a great company with a very long history of increasing their dividends. I have been holding my shares for several years now. I have been very pleased with the company since I originally initiated my position. I would have liked to have seen a deal between Emerson and Rockwell Automation because I believe that would have been great for long term growth. Despite that though, the company has still performed well for me.
Given my current position and the strength that I see in the company, I intend to continue to hold these shares. Honestly, I would love to add to this position but it would require the share price to drop significantly to reach my cost basis. I am in this game for the long term so maybe I will eventually get to see that again.
Regardless of how large or small, I love all dividend increases. That is how we end up with More Dividends 😉
Do you currently hold any stock in Emerson Electric? What do you think of this dividend increase? Just let me know in the comments.
As always I look forward to reading all of your comments and questions, until then….. happy investing!

Jason,
I’ve been disappointed in EMRs lack of dividend growth the last several years. Good company and I will likely hold, but keep an eye on it. Tom
