Realty Income Increases Their Dividend by 0.2% in 2022 ONCE AGAIN!!!

Dividend Increase Announcement

On September 13th, Realty Income announced a dividend increase of 0.2%. This will increase their dividend per month from $0.2475 to $0.248. It is payable on October 14th for shareholders of record on October 3rd. The new monthly dividend represents an annualized dividend amount of $2.976 per share as compared to the current annualized dividend amount of $2.97 per share.

Dividend Increase Effect

I am currently holding 38.077 shares of Realty Income stock in the More Dividends portfolio. With this 0.2% increase it will add an additional $0.23 to my projected annual dividend income and this doesn’t even take into account the compounding factor!

Current Stock Position

It is Realty Income, so what can you say? They are the monthly dividend company and they have a streak that is longer than a quarter of a century of increasing dividends to prove it.

I have been looking to add to this position for some time but unfortunately the share price is currently higher than my cost basis. So, I will continue to do be patient and I will wait for the share price to come back down below my cost basis.

Regardless of how large or small, I love all dividend increases. That is how we end up with More Dividends 😉
