Dividend Increase Effect On More Dividends

I am currently holding 9.432 shares of Microsoft in the More Dividends portfolio. With this 9.8% increase it will add an additional $1.89 to my projected annual dividend income and this doesn’t even take into account the compounding factor!

Conclusion

Currently, Microsoft is one of my best performing investments to date. The share price has continued to go up. The dividend growth increases have continued year after year. So why would I have any regrets about this position?

When I started this position, it was bought on the loyal 3 platform. Then once the platform was sold, I decided to move my holdings to another individual investment account that I had.

My regret is that despite seeing something early in this stocks bull run that I didn’t acquire more stock. Pretty much from the moment that I bought the stock, the share price has continued to go up. That created my problem because I only like to buy more stock if the price is below my cost basis.

I have been patiently waiting for a good time to add onto the position but it doesn’t look like I’m going to get that opporunity anytime soon.

Regardless of how large or small, I love all dividend increases. That is how we end up with More Dividends 😉

Do you currently hold any stock in Microsoft? What do you think of this dividend increase? Just let me know in the comments.

As always I look forward to reading all of your comments and questions, until then….. happy investing!
