Apple Increases Their Dividend by 7% in 2021

On April 28th, Apple announced a dividend increase of 7%. This will increase their dividend per quarter from $0.205 to $0.22. It is payable on May 13th for shareholders of record on May 10th. The new quarterly dividend represents an annualized dividend amount of $0.88 per share as compared to the current annualized dividend amount of $0.82 per share.

Dividend Increase Effect On More Dividends
I am currently holding 8.389 shares of Apple in the More Dividends portfolio. With this 7% increase it will add an additional $0.50 to my projected annual dividend income and this doesn’t even take into account the compounding factor!
Conclusion
Apple, I have been holding for many years. I wish I would have bought more back in 2016 but you live and you learn. I will continue to let the dividends compound until I can find a buying opportunity.
Regardless of how large or small, I love all dividend increases. That is how we end up with More Dividends 😉
