Dividend Increase Effect On More Dividends

I currently am holding 2.023 shares of Apple. With this 15.9% increase it will only add $0.81 to my Projected Annual Dividend Income.

Yesterday, Apple gave a very nice increase to their shareholders. Unfortunately, I don’t hold a large position in Apple. I originally bought my shares of the company back when the Loyal3 platform was around. It seems like after I bought those 2 shares that the price just took off like a rocket. I kept thinking that the share price would come back down closer to my cost basis but that hasn’t happened yet. I am kicking myself for not buying more shares then.

With such a small payout ratio the company has a lot of dividend growth ahead of them still. I will continue to wait on the sidelines for a better opportunity to add more shares. Hopefully that will happen before the next big crash but if not I will continue to be patient until the time is right.

Regardless of how large or small, I love all dividend increases. That is how we end up with More Dividends 😉

Do you currently hold any stock in Apple? What do you think of this dividend increase? Just let me know in the comments.

As always I look forward to reading all of your comments and questions, until then….. happy investing!
