Top 5 Podcast – 2018

These days there are a hoard of different podcast to listen to. Some are superb in quality while others are just mediocre. I do believe that there is a wealth of knowledge that can be learned from podcast and I think that everyone should be taking advantage of it.

Most everyone has to commute back and forth to work, that is unless you have positioned yourself to be able to work from home but even then you can benefit from podcast as well. Now while you’re commuting back and forth to work is a great time to listen to a podcast. I know that my commute to work is about 45 minutes one way. So that gives me an opporunity of an hour and a half to listen to podcast that isn’t taking any extra time out of my day.

There are many different apps that you can use to stream podcast. Myself I have an Android phone and I use an app called Podbean. Hopefully all of the podcasts that I list here are available on your podcast streaming app as well. If you really enjoy a podcast that isn’t featured on this list, please share it in the comments below because I am always looking for new podcast to listen to. With that being said lets get into the More Dividends Top 5 Podcast.

1. Rich Dad Radio Show

I am sure that a lot of people have read Rich Dad Poor Dad. If you have then you should be very familiar with the host of this show. Robert Kioysaki has been teaching people the importance of acquiring assets for over 20 years. He is admittedly a real estate guy so don’t go listening to his podcast expecting to hear very much about dividend investing. Despite that he does have some world leading economist on his show which give a very inciteful look into money and the economy. If you are looking to broaden your horizons than I would highly recommend this podcast for.

2. Mad Money with Jim Cramer

Are you a fan of the popular CNBC program “Mad Money”? Are you always too busy to catch the show when it is airing live? If you are like me then you answered yes to both of these questions. Don’t fear though, just give this podcast a listen to get your Mad Money fix. The newest episode is the audio recording from the previous days tv broadcast. It is a nice way to get some information on what is going on in the stock market without soaking up a lot of extra time during your day.

3. Bigger Pockets Podcast

Here we have another podcast hosted by real estate investors but this one is gspecifically for that. Josh and Brandon always keep the show very interesting with their witty banter. Every episode they feature a professional from the world of real estate investing. Sometimes it is a newer investor who is still young in the game and some times they have investors that have decades of experience. Because of their wide pool of guests that they pull from it allows everyone to benefit from the show regardless of your experience level.

4. Motley Fool Money

Once again we have another show dealing with the stock market. The Motley Fool Money podcast might not have as much color as a lot of the other shows on this list but it definetly makes up for that with content. This is a weekly podcast that focuses on the current events of the stock market. Some of the host and guest are also money managers so it gives a very unique opinion on what other larger scale investors are thinking. I really enjoy this show despite being drier than some of the other shows on this list.

5. The Time Ferris Show

I’m sure most of you have heard of “The 4-hour Work Week”. Tim Ferris became very popular after publishing the fore mentioned book. He has since gone on to publish quite a few other very successful books. He has became very wealthy through the different businesses that he is a part of. This type of wealth has allowed him to live a different kind of lifestyle than most people are use to. He is known to expand his thinking and explore different types of philosophies as well as travelling the world and socializing with very successful people. All of these experiences he shares with the listener on his podcast as well as having some very successful and interesting guest on his show. To me this would be more of a lifestyle or broadening your horizon type show but it is fantastic none the less.

Conclusion

There we have it. There is my list of the Top 5 podcast for 2018. Mostly investing shows but also some lifestyle thrown in there as well. I love listening to these shows during my commute because it allows me to be more efficient with my time. If I wasn’t listening to a podcast I would just be listening to the same old song being played on the radio so why not use this time to learn and educate myself about something.

I am very interested to hear what you think of my Top 5 podcast of 2018 list. Is there some podcast that you listen to that you think I should have included…. because I would love to hear about them below.

As always I look forward to reading all of your comments and questions, until then….. happy investing!
