More Dividends Update from November 2019

More Dividends - Dividends Income

All work and no play makes Jason a dull boy. Well, unfortunately during most of November I was a dull boy. I picked up a lot of overtime hours during the month and continued to bank more money. At this point, I have almost maxed out my RothIRA so I will continue to just sit on cash until I see some good opportunities out there.

I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving! I was able to gather with family and celebrate with a lot of delicious food.

Instead of following the masses and going out shopping on black friday, I decided to go hiking up in the mountains. After I edit some of the pictures from the trip I intend to post them soon!

Until then, let’s take a look at what all has been going on in the portfolio since last month.

Stock Additions

While I have been putting money into my brokerage account because the markets have been at all time highs I have chosen not to invest in anything yet. I will keep stockpiling the cash until I see some good opportunities to invest.

Dividends Received

My dividend income for the second month of the quarter should have still been increasing but because of circumstances outside of my control that was not the case. When WestRock (WRK) announced their dividend it stated that the dividend would not be paid until December. I am not sure if the company will continue to pay the dividend during the last month of the quarter or if this was a one time event. Regardless my quarter over quarter income actually saw a small loss as a result of it. It is not a huge concern to me because it isn’t like the company quit paying their dividend all together.

Apple (APPL) – $1.59 – Reinvested

General Mills (GIS) – $9.14 – Reinvested

Hormel (HRL) – $2.52

Realty Income (O) – $6.31 – Reinvested

Omega Healthcare Investors (OHI) – $28.14 – Reinvested

Procter & Gamble (PG) – $5.42

STAG Industrial (STAG) – $1.31

AT&T (T) – $25.50 – Reinvested

November was the second month of Q4 and accounted for $79.93 of my 2019 Dividend Income.

In total during 2019, I have earned $815.27 in dividend income!

So far my dividends received looks like this

Dividends Received By Year

Year over year, I saw a -1.11% decrease in dividend income. The whole reason for this was the movement of the WestRock dividend. Overall, it will not affect my dividend income for the year so I am still ok with it!

Portfolio Allocation

With no new additions to the portfolio all of the changes that you see here were all caused by the fluctuations in the market. With the markets at all time highs, I am looking more at my portfolio allocation as I am considering my next purchases.

Current Portfolio

The portfolio is doing great. With each reinvested dividend I am seeing more and more of the compounding effect! I am very excited to continue to see this portfolio grow through smart acquisition.
