Goals – August 2016
I am feeling really motivated right now. Lately I have been thinking a lot about the things that I have been accomplishing. I have been adding to my dividend holdings, I have been growing the website and engaging with other bloggers in the DGI community but despite of these things I cannot help but feel like there is more that I could be doing. So I have decided that I want to write out a goals list for the month and try and accomplish everything on the list by the end of the month. I intend to set goals which will be challenging but that are very attainable.
Earlier this year I did set a goal that I have never mentioned on here. I currently have a small but growing portfolio that produced $54.96 of dividend income in 2015. My goal has been to at least get that number up to $200 by the end of 2016. According to my dividend income page I am projected to receive $172.67 by the end of the year and that projection doesn’t even take into account any possible compounding. I think I will be able to achieve this goal fairly easy but only time will tell.
Now I want to list some goals that I have in mind for the month of August…. so let’s get started.

8 post made to the blog (which would be a new high)

2 articles published on Seeking Alpha

250 organic followers on Twitter

25 active members joined in the forums
-
1,000 unique visitors to the site
I am sure that all of these goal are reasonable and achievable. Some will take more work than others but by writing them out it will help me strive to accomplish them and to grow. I will be starting a thread in the forums soon about the goals, that way I can post when I complete them. If you want to keep up with them, all you have to do is signup for an account, it is very quick and very easy!

My goal every month is $500 to my portfolio also – I find it easier to accomplish it by automatic transfers each week of $125 from my checking account.

I manually transfer money to my savings every week, I get 1% interest in my savings. Then I transfer the money to my broker when I am ready to make a purchase. Plus I move money into my Loyal3 account a lot of the time too. Every little bit counts!
